Incredible hoteling - the Japanese way

Beaten in the WW-II, the Japanese nation rose from the devastation caused by the A-bombs and crippled economy and a stigma of defeat - something the Japanese pride could never swallow with ease. They thus came up with ideas with extreme motivation and hard work that stunned the world.

Today, the Japanese have a thriving economy, booming business and exports all over the world. Name anything from a needle to ships and trains, you will find Made in Japan stamped on world's leading merchandise.

Hoteling is not only a thriving business but an art too. It requires extreme imagination, innovation and aesthetic sense - dovetailed with technology and awareness.  And when it comes to innovation and imagination, no other nation can beat the Japanese.

I came across a video today on Facebook and am sharing this for the information of my readers. The video shows an extremely novel approach for display of food right next to your seat on a conveyer belt - continuously moving and you may pick up anything that you wish to eat. Not only that, you can order via a digital display and the ordered food is delivered right on your table - without any help of a waiter or a blonde waitress you may have been eagerly looking forward to coming and delivering your order to you.

The 'Rocky' Food

You may have gone to many eateries to devour your favourites foods or else may have been attracted to places where food is presented in such a way that is not only mouth watering but irresistible too. 

Today I am sharing photos of such 'food' which looks so attractive that one really appreciates those who have so tastefully decorated the dishes that one cannot but simply admire the aesthetics of the 'chefs' for their tastefulness.

See each photo very carefully and at the end of the last dish, I will tell you how these dishes have been made and what are their 'ingredients.'

Did not each of the dish look tastefully decorated and aesthetically presented? You would surely agree that it does. But do you think that something is unusual about these dishes? Can you guess what it is? You may look closely once again

These is actually no real edible food on this table! All dishes are actually made up entirely of rocks that look like food. Rocks that had me fooled - and may be you!!

Would Dubai one day be eaten up by sands? An artist's eerie projection of future

Imagination has no bounds. But when ground realities are combined with the natural encounters, one may be able to forecast a grim and terrible future. 

Those who have been to Dubai or those who are living there, may not comprehend an artist's idea of how Dubai one day may become, when all living being leave it and let it demise with blowing sands and roaming animals.

The award-winning British photographer and artist Richard Allenby-Pratt have created post-apocalyptic nightmare scenario realized in eerie images for Dubai - which is hair raising. The concept is based on the fact that the global downturn and mounting debts may threaten Dubai's future. 

And it may not be hard to imagine this sun-seared metropolis being swallowed back up by the surrounding sands as a financial meltdown prompts its wealthy sponsors to leave, followed by the 2million mainly foreign workers depending on them.

Noah's Ark in Hong Kong

While the remains of actual Noah's Ark rest in obscurity probably on Mt. Ararat, Turky, the travellers and tourists and residents of Hong Kong get to see the huge wooden boat resting on their sea shore.

Measuring 450 feet long and 75 feet wide, the Thomas, Walter and Raymond's land-bound Ark equals the same dimensions on the  Biblical scale. To make the boat look like the original, 67 pairs of animals at the entrance have been placed, just like the pairs of creatures saved from the Great Flood by Noah in the Bible tale.

The boat in Hong Kong, a creationist-inspired vessel forms part of a theme park near Hong Kong which was inspired by a young girl's scrawled drawing of the mammoth boat.

Architects appear to have used some artistic licence in parts of the Ark - for instance including double-glazed windows, a fine dining restaurant and luxurious bedrooms. Inside, real-life exotic animals can be found - including a nautilus, a toucan and reams of fish.

The Ark opened in May 2009, 17 years after plans were first mooted for the enormous structure. The Ark also boasts less authentic Biblical touches such as double-glazed windows and a fine dining restaurant

So if you are planning a visit to the South East Asia, do inlcude a stop over in Hong Kong and stay a night out at this unique place, which is an architect's innovation and a billionaire brothers brainchild.
