It is Super Moon Tonight - Saturday 5 May 2012

It happens every few years when the moon becomes a Super Moon.
Finally the Full Moon
The 'Super Moon' that I shot with my Sony DSC H2 camera back in 2007 [ posted on Flickr ]
I saw it in 2007 on October 26 - the moon actually looked bigger and brighter than the usual full moons. In fact the moon looks 14 per cent wider and 30 per cent brighter than the ordinary full moons. The phenomenon occurs when moon during its rotation comes rather close to the earth and have a closer peep on what we are doing on earth.

So it is again tonight, Saturday 5th May 2012. But to view the bigger moon, experts cautioned against viewing the full moon through telescope without an appropriate filter as it would affect the eyes. The best viewing time will be in the early evening, shortly after sunset when the moon is near the horizon.

I hope I will be able to catch up a clearer view tonight if it is not cloudy already.
