Will you still need me when I am 94?

Full Story: Vancouver Sun

Those who loved the Beatles, would have loved their famous song When I am 64. The opening lyrics of the song go something like this:

When I get older losing my hair,
Many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a valentine
Birthday greetings bottle of wine?

If I'd been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door,
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?

Well someone may still be needing and caring about you when you are 64, but what when you are 94? This is something very serious and worrisome to many around the world when it comes to living so long. Such questions are being asked by the elderly around the world. Read the full story about one such apprehension by the elderly in Canada. It is time we really need a long drawn strategy to look after our old parents and relatives when they are anything over 64..
