Norvak Djokovic vs Rafael Nadal: Monte Carlo Masters Final - Watch Live Online

So finally the Grand Finale has come to Monte Carlo. World Number Two Spaniard Rafael Nadal who beat Frenchman Gilles Simon Saturday 6-3, 6-4 would walk on to the red clay of Monte Carlo Sunday 22 April 2012 to defend his title for the eighth consecutive time against World Number One Serb Norval Djokovic.

Saturday's win of the Spaniard was his 41st win and he definitely looks forward to his 42nd win along with Monte Carlo Masters title - something that he has been dreaming of since last year as he has not been able to win any major title for the past ten months due to his knee injury.

Meeting Djokovic would be difficult as the Serb despite having lost his mentor and grandfather just a couple of days back has complete control over his game and is in a winning mood. Although in the semi final Saturday against Czech Berdych, he lost the first set, but he prevailed upon him to win the next two sets, 4-6 6-3 6-2 to move in to the final.

The final on Sunday is meeting of the two giants standing on world ladder number one and two. Although many would be wanting Nadal to win for the 8th time, the Serb may not like it. Djokovic has beaten Nadal in seven consecutive finals - the last being the Australian Open. But may be the win in Melbourne had much to do with the knee injury the Spaniard has been suffering - but his latest fitness shows that he is determined to retain his title at Monte Carlo even if he has to keep crying with pain.

So we wait and watch the Grand Finale Sunday - the one in the best form and fine mental and physical state will win.

The match is scheduled for 22 April 2012 at 13:45 local time / 12:00 GMT / 13:00 BST at the centre court.

Nadal vs Simon: Second Semi Final Monte Carlo Masters - Watch Live Online

Saturday today has two semi finals of the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters as it almost comes to its culmination. While in the first semi final, World Number One Djokovic takes on Seventh seed Czech Berdych, the World Number 2 and the defending champion Rafael Nadal of Spain meets Simon in the second semi final later Saturday afternoon.

Defending Champion Nadal (L) takes on Simon (R) in the second semi final of Monte Carlo Masters
Rafael, who is suffering from knee injury for over a year now has not been able to win any major title since. However his 40th successive match win at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters on Friday shows that he has greatly overcome his injury when he defeated Stanislas Wawrinka 7-5, 6-4 in the quarter-finals.

The win has definately raised morale of the 25 years old defending champion of the Monte Carlo Master: "I'm in the semi-finals. That's a fantastic news for me. Just looking forward to playing a good match tomorrow." He is eyeing to grab the title for the eighth consecutive times.

World Number 15 Frenchman Gilles Simon, who faces Nadal in the semi final Saturday, defeated fifth seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-5, 6-4 on Friday in the quarterfinals. This was Simon’s second consecutive Top 10 victory, having defeated Janko Tipsarevic in Thursday’s third round.

Simon has won seven out of last ten matches, while Nadal has won eight. His loss to Andy Murray at Miami due to knee injury was a setback and we hope he holds on to his present state till the final and even wins it over as well.

Both Nadal and Simon have met five times before, with Nadal having an upper edge over Simon 4-1. Their last duel was at US Open 2010 when Nadal won over Simon 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.

The match is scheduled for Saturday April 21, 2012 at 9:00 PM ET / 13:00 GMT

Djokovic vs Berdych: Monte Carlo Semi Final - Wacth Live Online

We are today just another day away from the finals of the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters Tennis Tournament that is being played at the famous Monte Carlo in Monaco along the coast of the Mediterranean.

Seventh seed Czech Berdych (L) meets World Number One Serbian Djokovic (R) in Saturday's first semi final of Monte Carlo Masters
Friday saw four quarters, from which World Number One Norval Djokovic, World Number Two and the defending Champion Rafael Nadal, 7th seed Tomas Berdych and Simon moved into for Saturday's two semi finals.

The first semi final of the day is between the Serbian Djokovic and Czech Berdych. Berdych made a remarkable win over World Number 4 and Britain's Number 1 Andy Murray and took everyone by surprise. Berdych won 7-6, 2-6, 6-3. Djokovic on the other hand had a easy win over his competitor Robin Haase 6-4, 6-2.

As for the past record of wins and head-on-head encounters of Saturday's semi finalistsDjokovic and Berdych, the Serb has lost only one of his last ten matches, against John Inser at the Indian Wells 7-6(7) 3-6 7-6(5), while Berdych has lost two at Miami and Indian Wells.

Both players for the first semi final Saturday have known each other quite well as they have encountered nine times before since 2008, with Djokovic having an upper edge of 9-0. Their last match was in ATP London 2011, when Djokovic beat Berdych 3-6 6-3 7-6(3).

Unless Berdych surprises Djokovic as he did to Murray Friday, the Serb is the hot favourite, who is eyeing the title and is vying to take it away from the defending champion Rafa Nadal, who has already won the title seven times consecutively.

The semi final between Djokovic and Berdych is scheduled to be played at 11:00 GMT on the red clay courts of the Monte carlo.

Monte Carlo Quarterfinals: Nadal vs Wawrinka - watch live online

The Monte Carlo Rolex Masters tennis is getting into to decisive phase as Murray, Djokovic, Tsonga and Nadal enter into the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Nadal vs Wawrinka

In his quarterfinal duel, Spaniard Rafel Nadal, the World Numebr Two and the defending champion, meets 26th ranked Stanislas Wawrinka Friday morning.

Rafeal who beat Mikhail Kukushkin on Thursday evening 6-1, 6-1 has lost only two of his last played ten matches, the latest at the hands of Federer in the Indian Wells. His second loss was against Murray in Miami when Nadal retired due to his injury.

Stanislas Wawrinka has lost three of his last ten matches, the latest at the Indian Wells at the hands of G Simon 6-4, 6-4.

Both players are not new to each other as they have played seven matches since 2007, all of which were won over by the Spaniard.

For Friday morning's match, Nadal is hot favourite, provided his knee injury doesnt come in his way to move forward and defend his title eighth consecutive time - something that djokovic and Murray are also eye at.

The match is scheduled to be played at Friday 20 April 2012 at 11:30 GMT

Thursday was a good and a bad day for the Serb Djokovic - good news first that he moves into the quarterfinals of the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters tennis. World Number One Djokovic (L) takes on Dutchman Haase (R)
Djokovic lost his first set to Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-2, but later got hold of him and won the next two sets 6-1, 6-4. even after winning the match, the Serb wept again remembering his grandfather who was part of the family’s strong sporting heritage.

In his qurterfinal match Friday, the World Number One Djokovic faces 52nd ranked Dutchman Robin Haase, who ousted David Ferrer’s conqueror, Thomaz Bellucci, 6-2, 6-3.

Djokovic has lost only one of his last ten matches this year at Indian Wells at the hands of John Inser 7-6(7) 3-6 7-6(5), while the Dutchman has lost three, the last being at Casablana to L Quahab.
