Be aboard a plane that only 8 pilots in the world can fly to its destination

Awhile ago, I shared a post about a unique beach airport at Barra Island in Scotland. Although landing and taking off from a beach can be a dangerous, yet it is rather safe. But what if you happen to be aboard an airplane that only 8 pilots from around the world can dare to fly to its destination?

Or let me say what if your destination happens to be at a place that only a few pilots dare to fly? The airport I am referring to is in the Himalayas, constructed between two mountains rising at a height of 18,000 feet AGL (above ground level)

The Paro Airport in Bhutan is the one I am talking about - which is considered as one of the most dangerous airports in the world. Pilots have to steer the airplane carefully between mountains, fly within feet of houses, and land on a narrow, 6,500 foot runway. Planes are only allowed to take off and land during the day, since any flying at night has been deemed far too dangerous.

I accidently came across this video on the YouTube, shared via Newser and thought you must see it - may be your adventurous nature takes you one day to experience the thrill of landing and taking off from this highly difficult and challenging airport of the world. And don't forget to thank the captain of the airplane after you land at Paro Airport in Bhutan, for he is one of the most daring pilots of the world
