This photo may surprise many - but there were days when the USA and Pakistan were really friends and the Pakistani President Muhammad Ayub Khan (right) could take liberty with the USA president Lyndon B Johnson in 1965 as shown above . Those were the days when we were friends and the USA was not a master.
Can you imagine a similar encounter now? No way, as we are not as good friends as we once used to be, and needless to say who is the master now.

I cannot speak for anyone else, but the Americans I know have no more interest in being 'masters' than we do in having them.
