The two Semi finals to watch for at Wimbledon 2015

The third Grand Slam of the year is entering its critical phase as some of the elite tennis stars enter the semifinals. But here I would like to mention two semi finals which will draw a lot of crowd and could mean end of an era or usher in a new one.

The first semi final is between Roger Federer and Britain's Andy Murray. Federer, the aging 33 years old yet superbly fit tennis star and currently ranked world no. 2 who has bagged 17 Grand Slam titles so far - ahead by three Grand Slam titles of Pete Sampras' 14.

Andrew Barron Murray OBE currently ranked World No. 3 has two Grand Slam titles to his credit but has his sights at the Wimbledon title once again after 2013 right in front of his home crowd. Andy Murray has reached his sixth Wimbledon semi-final in seven years.
So it is worth seeing a semi on 10 July - a match between experience of Federer and youth of Andy Murray

The second semi final to watch for is between arch rivals world no.1 American Serena Williams and world no.2 Russian Maria Sharapova.

Sharapova won her first Grand Slam against Serena Williams at Wimbledon some 11 years ago when she was just 17. Since then, both Serena and Sharapova have met 19 times, with the former winning 17 times. Sharapova is in her fifth Wimbledon semi-final, and her first since 2011.

As for the yet again aging but extremely resilient Serena, she is at the top of the world with her 20 Grand Slam titles and does not seem to be giving away any of her weakness to the Russian and reach the finals this year too. Recently crowned the French Open and earlier the Australian Open, she may demonstrate a superb game and may even get to the finals too.

So don't miss out the first critical semi final between Serena and Sharapova today live from the centre court of the Wimbledon.

Watch the quest for Gold: Serena vs Sharapova Live Free Streaming | Olympics Tennis Ladies Final - 4 August

So it is finally decided that either recently crowned Wimbledon champion 4th ranked American Serena William or the French Open title winner 3rd ranked Russian Maria Sharapova will get the Olympic gold medal in the ladies' single event of Olympic tennis.

Maria Sharapova beat fellow Russian Maria Kirilenko in an easy semi final run over 6-2, 6-3. This is the first time Sharapova is playing in the Olympics. Sharapova got unlucky when she was ousted from the Wimbledon race in the very early stage.

Five times Wimbledon champion Serena moved to the final after beating the world no.1 Belorussian Victoria azarenka 6-1, 6-2. The win seemed too easy for Serena as world no.1 seemingly offered no resistance to the Wimbledon queen.

Serena is in run to grab a bagful of gold, as after Saturday's final, she is also to play the doubles final alongwith her sister Venus, who earlier crashed out of the ladies' single event race. But that is if the two win over Russia’s Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova in the semifinals to play against the Czech duo Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka. It may be added that the William sisters have twice won the gold in doubles in Olmpics 2000 and 2008.

As for Saturday's singles final, this the 11th encounter of the two ladies since they first played each other in Miami 2004. Of the ten previous encounters, Serena has an upper edge of 8-2 over the Russian. In fact Serena has beaten Sharapova consecutively seven times in their last ten encounters.

The equation makes Serena favourite for the Olympic title this year, lest Sharapova surprises the American with her game today. It may be added that both ladies have never won a gold at Olympics before, so the quest for gold is equally important for both Serena and Sharapova.

The ladies' single Olympic tennis final  is scheduled for saturday, 4 August 2012 at 14:00 GMT at the Centre Court of Wimbledon.

WTA Stuttgart Final: Watch Azarenka vs Sharapova

At the WTA Stuttgate Final, two of the top women player, Azarenka and Sharapova will collide for the gold on Suday 29th April.

Since 2009, this is the first time that the top four players in the world took part in the semi-finals of an event as Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova, Petra Kvitova and Agnieszka Radwanska won their quarterfinal encounters to take part in the semifinals.

World No.1 Azarenka was the first to make the final, taking down world's No.4 Agnieszka Radwanska with no problem (6-1, 6-3) .

Whereas the second semifinal was much tougher in contrast with the first semi-final that went lika a breeze. No.2-ranked Sharapova showed her dominance over No.3-ranked Petra Kvitova in a minute short of two hours, 6-4 7-6(3).  Sharapova actually broke at 5-all in the second set and served for the match, even holding match point in that game, but ended up taking it in the breaker.

So let was wait and watch the final between the two at Stuttgart that is scheduled for Sunday 29 April 2012 at 16:30 GMT.

Kvitova Vs Sharapova: WTA Stuttgart Second Semifinal

In the second semi final of the WTA Stuttgart, World Number Two Russian Maria Sharapova faces 3rd ranked Czech Petra Kvitova at Stuttgart Saturday.
Second Semi Final WTA Stuttgart: Kvitova [L] Vs Sharapova [R]
Maria Sharapova had a difficult day Friday in beating the US Open winner Australian Sam Stosur in back breaking three set marathon 6-7, 7-5 and 7-5.

On the other hand Petra Kvitova beat A Kerber in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.

Kvitova and Sharapova have come face to face only four times in their careers, with a 2-2 win by each. Sharapova last overcame Kvitova in the australian Open earlier this year 6-2, 3-6 and 6-4, while Kvitova last had an edge over Sharapova in Tokoyo in 2011 when Sharapova retired in the first set at 4-3.

In the last ten matches, Kvitova has won seven, while Sharapova has won eight.

Both seem to be in full form to to move into the final and it may not be easy to predict the outcome of the semi final between Kvitova and Sharapova.

So let was wait and watch the second semi final between the two at Stuttgart that is scheduled fr Saturday 28 April 2012 at 16:30 GMT.

Miami Masters Tennis [Women Singles Final]: Radwanska vs Sharapova: Watch Live Online

Miami Master Women Singles Final: Radwanska(L) vs Sharapova (R)
The Miami Masters Tennis tournament for ladies comes to its end Saturday evening when World Number Two Maria Sharapova meets Polish Radwanska.

The World Number Two Sharapova who is a three time runner up at Miami will try to make a mark tonight to be crowned as the Miami queen - a dream which she is carrying for so long now. Sharapova eased into the final with not much ease as a rather stubborn Caroline Wozniacki had the first set won 6-4, till Sharapova got hold of the match in the second and third sets to win the two sets 6-2, 64.

In the second semi final, the Polish overcame French Marion Bartoli with much ease in easy wins in both sets 6-4, 6-2. This was despite the fact the match was halted due to power outage for almost 30 minutes, but this did not deter World Number Four Radwanska to keep her cools and restart with the same winning form. It may be added here that Bartoli had earlier won over the World Number One Victoria Azarenka in the quarter-finals.

Sharapova has played three finals before but was always unlucky to lose. This evening is her fourth final and she will be putting in her best to overpower Radwanska to win her first Miami title. She seems in form and ready yo take on Radwanska.

And one last thing: Who is the hot favourite tonight? Well one can guess form the fact that both have met eight times before and Sharapova stood out winner seven times.

We wait and watch the match this evening that gets played at 17:00 GMT

Maria Sharapova vs Victoria Azarenka: The Screaming Final (Indian Wells) - Watch Free Live Streaming

The day finally comes to bring the end of the Indian Wells tennis tournament. And a what a day it would be to have a high voltage and a loud screaming women's singe title final between two of the loudest court girls Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka Sunday evening.

Sharapova vs Azarenka: Playing the Screaming Indian Wells Final Sunday
Yes both Sharapova and Azarenka make their presence felt and even those fans who are watching the match on big screens outside the court can listen to the shout-outs from the inside of the court.

But we really want to see the final rather than being 'heard.'

Unfortunately, much to the annoyance of the many fans and even the audience, both ladies cannot control their grunting and shouting. Whenever Azarenka is asked about her rather unusual behaviour, she says that her grunting is similar to someone snoring - annoying as it can be, it's nothing she can control or stop.

Whatever it may be, it is World No 1 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus and the current Australian Open champion is all set to face the Russian second seeded Sharapova this evening and all fans are desperately waiting for the creaming final to begin. The title showdown at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden will be a repeat of the Australian Open final in January when Azarenka won her first grand slam title with a crushing 6-3 6-0 victory over Sharapova.

Who wins this evening - may be someone who shouts and scares the opponent more!! Well let us keep our fingers crossed and watch the screaming ladies play the final - both are hot favourites and have the strength and resilience to dismantle each other.

The 'screaming' final of Indian Wells Tennis commences 18:00 GMT.

Indian Wells Open 2012: Maria Sharapova vs Halep

The Indian Wells' male stars are sailing well throught the tournament with no major set backs seen so far, except Murray, who just a few days back lifted the Dubai Duty Free Tennis trophy. Murray fell prey to Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-4 6-2 by  in the second round of the Indian Wells Masters.
Russian Maria Sharapova (L) vs Romanian Simona Halep (R) tonight
But that was about men - here is something about he girls. There is match tonight between the former world number one Maria Sharapova and Romania's Simona Halep.

Sharapova, the second seed for the tournament is sailing smoothly so far. She was lucky to have a bye in the first round and easily beat  Argentine Gisela Dulko, one of the best women doubles players, 6-2, 6-0 to mve into the third round.

The famous Romanian Simmon Halep, whose 'extra ordinary physique' was quie a gossip till 2009, when she underwent surgery to have her chest reduced as the previous size hindered her play adversely. Now she is much at ease with her reduced stature and is playing superbly. She has moved to the third round with much ease beating her opponents in straight sets in first and second rounds.

Like Murray's ouster, any debacle to Sharapova would be a great setback for her at the hands of the 21 year old Romanian, who is in superb form, while Sharapova is still recovering from her injuries and form recently.

The match between Sharapova and Halep commences 21:30 GMT.
