Arsenal - Norwich City: English Premier League

The Gunners are standing at a difficult third position in the table top, with the Hotspurs and the Newcastle  just on their heels. Thus the Gunners should be looking for a win to hold off the challenge of Tottenham and Newcastle.

But having won nine out of 10 in the league since February 4, the Gunners have since failed to win any of their last three matches - a form which reflects slackness at this crucial juncture. The only solace they can take form history is that their opponent have not won away to Arsenal since August 1992 and that they have all of their last four games against the City.

As for the Norwich, they will be hoping for their first away win against the north Londoners since 1992.

Gunners' midfielder Abou Diaby will miss the match against Norwich with a calf problem, while Norwich left-back Adam Drury is a doubt for Saturday's trip to Arsenal due to groin problem.

The probable XIs for Saturday match are as under:
Arsenal (probable, 4-3-2-1): Szczesny; Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Ramsey, Song, Rosicky; Gervinho, Benayoun; Van Persie.

Norwich (Probable, 4-4-2): Ruddy; R Martin, R Bennett, Ward, Drury; E Bennett, Howson, Hoolahan, Surman, Pilkington;Holt.

The match is scheduled for Saturday 5 May 2012 at the Emirates Stadium at 12:45 BST / 13:45 GMT

Barclays Premier League: Arsenal - Newcastle United

Although the Gunners are not in the run for the title, they are well poised to at least get one of the Champions League qualification spots. It has been a rather trying and difficult campaign in the Barclays Premier League.

When they Arsenal take on the Newcastle United tonight, they are most likely to finish third, that will take them within a point of their North London Rivals. But in order to keep Champions League challenge on track, the Gunners will have to find a way out to curtail Demba Ba.

As for Newcastle United, they are still hanging in at the top end of the Premier League and a win tonight would bring them withing two points of both Arsenal and Chelsea and that last Champions League qualifying spot.

Both Arsenal and Newcastle United have in their possession tremendous attacking capability and extraordinary keepers, which means a tough game, charging attacks and incredible defence. It remains to be seen what actually transpires when they both meet, but certainly the magpies will be trying not to repeat their abysmal performance against the Spurs and will try to show their strength.

The match between Arsenal and Newcastle United commences 20:00 GMT at the Emirates Stadium, London.
