Evening in Paris

A quick visit to the the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Élysées as I described in my previous two posts, we rushed back to the Eiffel Tower as it was getting evening and we did not miss the last boat to take us around the Paris and see its historical buildings duly illuminated.

We had seen the Eiffel Tower in the morning haze that started to clear as the hours went by. But in the evening the Tower gave a different look - something dreamy and attractive. Lights started to glow around it and slowly and gradually the effect of lights started to make the Eiffel Tower look magical and awesome.
My younger son again tried to size up the Eiffel Tower to preserve the moment and save it for a nostalgia when he would grow old.

We hurried to the footsteps of the Eiffel Tower on the banks of the River Seine, where the last boats were getting filled up and readying for the trip around Paris.

And while sitting there, we kept looking at the Eiffel Tower which started to glow more as the darkness grew and it looked more beautiful as compared to the morning time.

The boat having been filled to its capacity started to move slowly forward leaving the Eiffel behind. But it continued to be seen till it was lost behind trees and Paris architecture.
My elder son caught a last glimpse of the Eiffel Tower on this selfie as we moved forward

The tourists were now both excited and attentive to the commentary of the guide and the buildings that kept passing by with their 17th century architecture and grandeur. I will share the boat ride in one of my next posts. And let me tell you it was an experience of a life time.

Au Revoir till my next post!!
