How to get rid of dandruff NATURALLY

Dandruff has been a major cause of hair loss right from ages 15 onwards. It is not only itchy, but also leaves chunks of scalp being broken away from the scalp and falling on the clothes. The victims resort to many medicines and shampoos advertising their miracle dandruff removing formulae but nothing really happens.

I thought of finding answers to help the dandruff hit people by talking to a few doctors, researching related posts and documents and have consolidated a list of antidotes for dandruff “naturally.” The remedies given below seem harmless as being natural and could be given a try. But remember, each person has a different skin and therefore while one solution may help one, it may not do wonders for others. So don’t lose heart and try different options – maybe there is one suitable for your skin.

• Use of fenugreek seeds is one of the home remedies. 2 tablespoons of seeds should be soaked overnight and ground into fine paste in the morning. The paste should then be applied on the scalp and left for half an hour. The hair should be then washed thoroughly with soap nut solution.

• Tea tree oil, which is extracted from the leaves of the Australian tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), has been used for centuries as an antiseptic, antibiotic and antifungal agent. It's now included in a number of shampoos found in natural foods stores. The oil is generally well tolerated but may cause allergic reactions in some people.

• Use a mix of lemon juice ands honey and massage onto your scalp. Alternatively use aloe vera.

• Apply egg white for 10-15 mins rinse and shampoo it. Apply this procedure each time you wash your hair, don't worry your hair will not smell of eggs after you shampoo it (ensure to use a medicated shampoo like Selsun Blue).

• Use a copper infused dandruff free brush. For shampoo, use Selsun Blue dandruff shampoo.

• Apple cider vinegar is an old home remedy for dandruff that many people love. Mix equal parts apple cider vinegar and water and apply to the scalp, allowing it to set for about 15 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and condition as usual.

• Use Biotin, which is unique as a natural remedy for dandruff because it is taken internally. The element is a B vitamin that is water-soluble. Ingesting this vitamin can help break down proteins, fats and carbohydrates, allowing for healing to occur. Biotin is found in some foods like barley, brewer’s yeast, liver, egg, soy, royal jelly and milk.

The case to case recommendation of medicine can only be suggested and advised by a qualified dermatologist. Before using any medicine, please get professional advice and don’t apply a medicine since it worked well for a friend because your friend would have a different skin and problem altogether.
