Earth Hour in Pakistan

I saw a photograph of the twin towers in Kuala Lumpur  (Malaysia) before and after the switching off the lights to celebrate the earth hour yesterday. The news also said that the day was “observed” in Pakistan too. It added that some of the government building switched off “non-essential” lights to observe the day. The NWFP government, too engrossed in renaming of the province, did not observe the day at all.
But the people of Pakistan did observe it since they had no choice. The electricity otherwise goes on and off after every other hour for the entire day, week, month and the year round. So they voluntarily or ill voluntarily contribute towards saving of the earth.
I would say we observe the Earth Year every year, so we be added into the Guinness Book of World Record right away. Don’t you agree?
